This role is responsible for the production of monthly management information for the company and supporting the Finance Director to achieve accurate monitoring and reporting of fiscal performance to the board. To ensure that all statutory compliance and regulations for the group company are adhered to.

Responsibilities and accountabilities

  • Ensure all elements of the company’s finance system are well maintained, reconciled and up to date.
  • To work with the commercial team to maintain an effective measurement of weekly revenues and WIP valuation.
  • Preparation of the monthly MI pack for review with the Directors including a full review and investigation of any variances of KPI’s.
  • Preparation and submission of weekly and monthly updates as agreed with the Directors.
  • Ensure the statutory obligations of the business are met on time including quarterly VAT returns, CIS / PAYE submissions.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders within the business.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with staff, stakeholders and third parties.
  • Assist with financial audits and compliance reviews.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
  • To undertake other duties as required by the Directors from time to time.

Requirements

  • Experienced accountancy professional with knowledge of Xero
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite, Xero and Workflow Max
  • Good communications skills at all levels
  • A hands-on approach to financial record keeping from the ground up
