An exciting new role which has the potential to be shaped by the right candidate.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will provide full accounting and admin support to ensure the smooth day-to-day management of the accounts function.

Main responsibilities

  • Supervise the Accounts Assistants with progression training where possible.
  • Manage & maintain purchase invoice process, including entry and correct divisional splits, including query resolution.
  • Manage & maintain sales ledger process, including entry, and correct divisional splits.
  • Raise weekly suppliers’ payments.
  • Manage and process wages overtime payments to payroll deadline.
  • Manage credit control process.
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • Manage the General ledger, raise nominal journals including, prepayments, accruals, and depreciation.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly divisional and consolidated management accounts.
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts packs for senior management team.

Person specification

Experienced part qualified or qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within a busy accounts department.

Experience of Sage 200 or Sage 50

Exceptional interpersonal skills

Ability to organise and plan own work.

Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.

A flexible, proactive approach to work including the ability to prioritise and re-prioritise.

Ability to work on own initiative.

Ability to deal with sensitive information with discretion and to maintain confidentiality.

Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Lives locally to Coleshill.

Working Hours and Package

This would be a full-time role.

Working hours 08:30 to 17:30hrs Monday to Friday. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
