Hours per week: Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week

Role Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our passionate and driven team based at our Edinburgh office.

To assist with the business control environment with responsibility for a number of balance sheet areas to ensure consistency and accuracy. The role will assist with the production of the monthly management accounts, as well as the preparation of annual budget and support for the yearend process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cash reporting & Debt
  • Assist with the daily cash reports for submission to Group and support the AR Manager with debt recovery and reporting
  • Accruals
  • Prepare, maintain and post monthly accrual journals (revenue and cost accruals)
  • Payroll
  • Prepare and post monthly payroll journals
  • Work in progress
  • Responsibility for the calculation of regional WIP at month end as well as ongoing review/challenge of the aged profile and conversion of WIP into revenue
  • Intercompany accounts
  • Reconcile and agree with monthly intercompany accounts
  • Contract P&Ls
  • Assist with the preparation of the contract P&Ls, managing the monthly P&L meeting for a region and challenging contract performance against budget
  • Year end
  • Prepare yearend reconciliation pack
  • Assist with the collation of the audit testing documentation requested by the auditors
  • Budget
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual contract budgets
