This is a new role created within our client’s small but busy finance team. The Management Accountant will provide support to the Finance Director and Company Accountant. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate data is provided in a timely manner.Hybrid WFH otions are feasible and open to discussion - Ideally to start: Mon-Thurs in office, Fri WFH. Again, this is negotiable.Key Responsibilities Of The Role Will Cover
  • Assist in the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts for 4 divisions to strict timescale.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and maintain a long-term cash forecast.
  • Assist preparation of the annual budget and regular reforecasts.
  • Preparation of key KPI data and liaison with the relevant department managers to enable them to maximise departmental profitability and efficiency.
  • Continuous process improvement within the finance department.
  • Preparing timely and accurate information, prioritising and working in a flexible way within the finance team.
  • Assist the Finance Director in preparing reports for senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
  • Provide holiday cover for the Company Accountant, which will include overseeing weekly and monthly payroll.
Other Key Tasks
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting and maintain a long-term cash forecast.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Account Reconciliations
  • Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable management
  • Submissions to HMRC for PAYE, VAT, Intrastat
Desirable
  • Qualified or P/Q accountant (ACCA, CIMA, AAT).
  • Experience of operating in an engineering or manufacturing business.
  • Experience of operating in privately owned and/or owner managed business.
  • Numerate, analytical, and efficient.
  • Excellent Excel skills and ability to learn new IT systems
  • Can do-attitude and willing to roll-up your sleeves.
  • Organised, professional, and proven ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
