We are a well-established manufacturer of bespoke returnable packaging, predominantly supplying the automotive and aerospace industries.

As the business has grown so has our product portfolio which now encompasses the use of textiles, plastic, steel, and foam, all of which are designed in house.

The environment is fast paced and varied from day to day with a strong emphasis on teamwork. we are a hard-working bunch and looking for a professional to join our team.

We need a full time Management accountant based at our Telford office,

The company has been in existence for 22 years and we have weathered some storms and like many companies had a tough time during Covid, but we are now back to full capacity and have some exciting projects coming through.

The right person will need all the essential knowledge and be capable of the daily processes itemized below.

We are also looking for someone who will help shape the future of the company through financial insights and identify new ways for the company to reduce operational costs.

For the right person this will lead to progression into senior management.

Essential Knowledge

 Sage 200

 Sage 50 payroll

 Management Accounts

 Good Excel Skills

 General accounting knowledge

 Good VAT knowledge for exports/European sales

Job Description

 Bank reconciliation each week for UK and foreign bank accounts

 Weekly cash flow for UK company

 Bookkeeping For Lithuanian Subsidiary Includes

 Liaise with Lithuanian and Spanish accountants

 Provide Intrastat information to Spanish accountants

 UK Payroll each month using Sage 50

 Advise on VAT liability for exports and various supply routes around Europe

 UK VAT return for Spanish subsidiary every quarter.

Management Accounts
  • Provide summaries for monthly sales for UK and Spanish subsidiary
  • Ad hoc reports
  • Preparing consolidated management accounts.
 Forecast management accounts including P&L and Balance Sheet

VAT return for UK company each quarter includes checking transactions are correct

 Prepare the trial balance for the UK accounts

 Provide information to accountants preparing UK accounts including Corporation Tax returns and P11D information
