Interim Management Accountant with Servelec

We are seeking a highly experienced Management Accountant to join us on a 12month FTC, this role offers flexible working hours and is a home-based role.

The Interim Management Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts for the Healthcare and Local Government divisions.

This role will involve management of an existing experienced Management Accountant and new to the role Reporting Accountant who will require training and support from a proven management accountant.

This role would suit a strong management accountant who is used to managing a team to deliver reliable results on time.

What you will do:

· Work with the Management Accountant and Reporting Accountant to produce monthly management accounts including:

– Updating WIP schedule for new and completed jobs and assisting with revenue calculations including use of O2C software in Sage to calculate and post revenue.

– Posting Fixed Assets and depreciation, and maintaining the Fixed Asset Registers

– Posting and recording Accruals and prepayments

– Reviewing bank, trade debtor and trade creditor reconciliations

– Posting payroll journals

– Preparing, analysing, and interpreting financial data

– Support the preparation of annual budgets and regular reforecasts.

– Own the balance sheet reconciliation process including PAYE and NIC.

– Assist in the completion of quarterly VAT returns.

– Work to align and maintain consistent reporting between all divisions including both presentation and processes.

– Supporting the annual audit process

– Ad Hoc projects where required.

– Perform other related duties as assigned.

· Continually review and improve monthly processes to become more efficient and system driven by:

– Using a single source of data for inputs

– Ensuring input information is correct at source (payroll, invoice coding, timesheets)

– Working across the Local Government and Healthcare divisions to deliver a single month end process across the divisions.

– Providing training to team members to improve overall outputs of the team.

Essential experience required:

· Must be a qualified Management Accountant, ideally with private practice and industry experience.

· Experience of producing accurate management accounts on a timely basis.

· Proven leadership skills

· Ability to manage a varied workload, actively manage and coach a team of two and produce management accounts.

· Highly organised, with great attention to detail.

· The ability to proactively contribute within a project team working environment.

· Ability to work to strict deadlines.

· Good inter-personal skills

· Customer focused.

· Self-motivated

· Experience of integrated accounting systems, preferably Sage 200
