Management Accountant (Ideal for practice trained part-qualified ACCA looking to move into industry) – Cheadle - £25,000 - £30,000

Description:

A dynamic PE backed business based in South Manchester, is looking to recruit a practice trained Management Accountant into a newly created role.

The company has more than tripled its turnover over the last 3 years which has resulted in a restructure of the finance team to support its continued ambitious growth plans.

You will be working closely with the Group Finance Manager in ensuring that accurate and timely financial and management information is produced by the Finance Department.

Day to day responsibilities include:

Monthly management accounts including consolidations and supporting schedules

Balance sheet reconciliation

Quarterly VAT returns

Performance KPI for the management team

Preparation of budgeting and forecasting information

Understanding and analysing key business drives, business risks and opportunities

Assisting in the financial feasibility and affordability of projects and proposed investments

Aiding Treasury staff as required

Coaching and development of junior team member

Essential Requirements:

Excellent knowledge of accounting, financial reporting standards and legislative requirements (VAT, taxation, FSA reporting)

ACA / ACCA part qualified with experience in Sage and advanced excel (minimum pivots, look ups, sum ifs)

Excellent communicator with the ability to inspire confidence in both finance and non-finance colleagues
