My client, a financial investment trust fund based in the city is looking to hire an experienced Management Accountant to join a diversified Finance department in London. This role will be suitable for a qualified accountant with management accounting experience within financial services. The ideal candidate will be looking to take the next step in their career and take on the opportunity to manage a small team of 3 individuals, appropriate training will be provided. Exposure and knowledge of UK GAAP would also be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the production and analysis of monthly management accounts
• Prepare and present monthly management accounts to Senior Management at the Finance Committee
• Responsible for the AP and general Finance Team. Approve weekly payment runs for the AP function
• Prepare Annual Financial Statements and take the lead on annual external audits
• Oversight of month-end processes including the review of journal postings, accruals, and prepayment
• Produce monthly and quarterly forecasts for Management and Head Office
• Review monthly budget holder reports and variance analysis. Liaise with the specific budget holders to ensure analysis is as accurate
• Assist the Head of Finance with all variable remuneration calculations
• Review monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Review the daily P+L reconciliation
• Review Bank reconciliations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
• Oversee and review and the Fixed Asset Register
• Responsible for Head office Returns
• Review National Statistic’s Return for the Office of National Statistics

Qualifications

ACCA / ACA / CIMA Qualified

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
