Mammographer Training Role - Wolverhampton Hospital - Up to £28,000 pro rata, dependent on skills and experience plus enhancements.

Our radiology team in our Wolverhampton Hospital currently have an opportunity for a Mammography Training Post. Begin your journey with us whilst we’ll support you to be your best.


We’re looking for someone with a BSc or equivalent in Diagnostic Radiography, current HCPC registration who wishes to expand their career in the field of Mammography. The department will support you in working towards a Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography.

You will work as part of a team providing Mammography services and we will support you in your training in helping to deliver high-quality, patient-centered services and support Breast one-stop clinics. You will also assist with routine QA of the equipment, assist with departmental audits where required and assist with stock control and the effective utilisation of resources.

  • Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for Mammography within the department.

  • Assist with routine QA of Mammographic equipment.

  • Support one stop breast clinics and health screening.

  • Work towards your Post graduate certificate in Mammography


The Person

To succeed as a Radiographer you will have;

  • High levels of technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail.

  • A caring nature – to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.

  • A BSC degree in diagnostic radiography or equivalent to meet the registration requirements of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

  • Excellent communication and team working abilities.

This is a training post with a commitment to attending required course as well as attaining required mammography numbers.

Salary- Up to £28,000 pro rata,dependent on skills and experience plus enhancements

Weekly Hours -22.5
