Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Last year, over 15,000 volunteers supported us across the charity, and without them, we simply couldn’t achieve our ambition to provide more expert care for more people.

Gardening and maintenance
Our buildings and grounds make it possible for us to provide 24 hour care to people when
they need it most. In this role you’ll work alongside our maintenance team carrying out every
day practical tasks, and ensuring that your local Sue Ryder centre is maintained to the
highest standard.

Activities Will Include
  • Painting and decorating
  • Moving furniture or equipment
  • Assisting with in house testing and inspections of equipment
  • Clearing external paths and emptying external bins
  • Minor repairs and fault finding
Due to COVID-19, the latest national restrictions mean that we have a very limited number of volunteer roles available right now, but we would love to know a little bit more about you so we can get in touch if the right opportunity opens up in the future.
