I am working with a school who are looking for a dynamic, motivated, pro-active, and well-organised individual who has the ability and skills to successfully work as part of a well-established Maintenance Team. You will be overseeing weekend Caretakers, supporting with general maintenance duties and carry out Health and Safety duties with the relevant support. The role will also see you assisting with the setup of weekend events taking part on site, including the co-ordinating and overseeing of hirers.

  • Part Time Position (52 Weeks)
  • Friday 8am – 16:00pm & Saturday/Sunday 07:30am – 15:30pm
  • Salary-£14,913.60 pa (actual salary)
  • Start Date: 1st September 2021

Main Duties And Responsibilities
  • Events set up, including movement of furniture
  • Painting & Decorating
  • General repair & Maintenance works
  • Fire Extinguisher checks
  • Fire escape route checks
  • Oversee the school facilities being used by Hirers to ensure they adhere to the terms of their agreement
  • Check all school facilities are safe, clean and in working order
  • Assist and supervise with any Fire alarm evacuation processes
  • Oversee other Maintenance team members working over the weekend period
  • Monitor Pool area to ensure it is safe to use at all times
  • Ensure Hirers abide by the School Health & Safety policy at all times
  • Regular Fire Alarm and Emergency Light checks.

Candidates Must
  • Be able to commit to working the hours specified above.
  • Provide an enhanced DBS registered on the update service. If you do not hold a valid DBS be willing to apply for a new DBS. The cost of a DBS is a one-off payment of £40 with an annual subscription of £13 per year to the DBS Update Service.
  • If you have been a UK resident for less than 5 years, a right to work visa must be provided (non-EU) and a criminal background check certificate must be provided for any country resided in for 6 months or more within the past 5 years.
