JOB OPPORTUNITY
(Candidates must have minimum Level 3 electrical qualification)
Based in Bradford, this leading Warehousing and Logistics Operation are recruiting NOW for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Maintenance team at a fully automated facility.
As a Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for:
Providing breakdown cover and completing planned preventive maintenance on a fully automated distribution site. You will be responsible for maintaining all site machinery including conveyors, shuttles, robotics and more.
You will have the responsibility of keeping breakdown time to a minimum, improving machine efficiency and working in conjunction with the groups LEAN and continuous improvement plans.
To support the Engineering Team Leader in his duties in providing a highly available automation system.
In conjunction with the UK technicians, provide a first-class site response to the customer, ensuring as far as reasonably practical a right first-time policy.
Involvement in Daily Review Meetings as and when required, both with the customers and colleagues, providing detailed information as required.
Provide emergency breakdown and maintenance support. On all equipment and software issues on the installed equipment.
Be part of the Issue Management and the internal escalation process on all related maintenance issues, in partnership with the customer.
Create strong effective working relationships with our customers and your responsibility team, to enable us to provide a first-class service.
Provide performance in terms of supporting maintenance activities on site, speed of response and quality of repair and standards of workmanship.
To provide maintenance support on all aspects of the installed system.
To work within a team of site technicians and third-party repair companies on their activities on site.
Further responsibilities include;
Fault finding
Continuous improvement and project work.
Compliance and health and safety.
Critical stock control
ABOUT YOU
Full Electrical / Mechanical minimum level 3 C&G or NVQ.
Understanding of Non-Destructive Technologies and Testing
Understanding of PLC’s and their function
Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge beneficial.
Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills.
Use of CMMS system and storeroom experience.
HNC/HND equivalent is desirable
Experience of using a bagging machine and scan tunnels is desirable

To be considered for the role as Maintenance Engineer you will need the following;
NVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 in an Electrical/Mechanical discipline
Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer within an automated environment.
Strong fault-finding skills
The ability to work within a proactive nature
A methodical mindset, with the ability to problem solve and adapt within short notice.
Pneumatic Experience.
Advance Full apprenticeship.
Experience in logistics automation Electrical/Mechanical maintenance and inspection.
3 phase, Single Phase, 24/48V DC knowledge.
Computer Literate (particularly MS Excel)
