Maintenance Technician Location: Peterlee Duration: 12 month contract with extension available Hourly Rate: £17.38 - £23.46 (shift dependant) 36.5 hours (plus overtime) We are recruiting for two Maintenance Technicians to work on a rotating 3 shift system. Overtime is available and paid at time and a half Monday to Saturday and Double Time on Sunday THE ROLE The position of Maintenance Technician will consist of the following:
  • Maintaining equipment and reporting on a computerised maintenance management system
  • Responding to equipment breakdowns and completing repairs to equipment
  • Troubleshooting and correcting malfunctions on industrial/paint plant equipment, Automated production lines, robots, lasers, hydraulic presses, DC tooling, AGVs and much more
  • Performing preventative maintenance as per schedules
  • Ordering replacement parts and stocks
  • Undertaking training/further learning as required THE CANDIDATE To be considered for the role of Maintenance Technician, you will need:
  • Experience in a relevant Manufacturing environment (ideally Heavy / Industrial Manufacturing
  • Completed an accredited apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
  • Adaptable and flexible to work shifts
  • Willing to develop / train and learn new skills THE PACKAGE In return, you will receive:
