About the client

ATA are supporting a fantastic engineering business close to Kirkby in Ashfield, who due to a growing order book are looking for a maintenance technician to join their already established team of 37 engineers. The business who was formed in the early 2000s by one of the world’s largest manufacturing groups have a healthy order book, predicting an increase in both turnover and profit in 2023, having successfully navigating their way out the back end of COVID19. This growth will allow them to open a 2nd site in the early part of 2023.

Having been to the site personally, I have been impressed with the culture and working environment. It’s clear the business are big on employee engagement and when stepping onto site it isn’t long before you see photos of company event days, incentives, and reward schemes and the newly furnished canteen and games area for engineers to relax in.

About the role

As a maintenance technician your duties will include:

• Service, repair, and overhaul of specialist auxiliary equipment.
• Equipment includes Plasma spray guns, high pressure jets, vacuum plasma spray.
• Looking at ways to continuously improve the machinery.
• Train maintenance team on any changes to the equipment.
• Training apprentice maintenance team.
• Consulting with the OEM when required.
• Updating stock levels

About you

As a maintenance technician you should have the following:

• Experience working in a maintenance capacity ideally within a factory environment.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment
• The ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
• A passion for engineering
• Taking pride in your work.
• A qualification in engineering would be beneficial but not essential.
