The position of Maintenance Technician IV reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of the plant equipment and infrastructure, according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes in order to ensure optimal production conditions.

PRIMARY DUTIES

The ability to operate with a hands on approach: Main duties are:

Schedule, execute and manage the maintenance work necessary to keep all plant equipment in operating condition

Plan and perform preventative maintenance service to machinery and equipment in a timely manner, in order to improve production efficiency, ensure optimum machine time availability.

Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve availability and reliability

Diagnose and analyse problems with the equipment and/or infrastructure, estimating the repair time.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic assemblies, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operational manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.

Identifies potential equipment failures and take preventive action.

Document maintenance repairs performed (e.g. complete worksheets, check the water meters) and complete technical records (e.g. managing technical documentation, executing electrical and mechanical drawings).

Perform all operations in compliance with legal and Company policies and procedures, regarding EHS, storage, housekeeping.

Other reasonable duties as assigned by line manager.

Minimum Requirements

Relevant degree (or equivalent qualification) in Engineering discipline

8 years industrial experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Demonstrated understanding of mechanical plans and also to analyse and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic or pneumatic issues

Able to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams

Able to support process design projects and obtain results

Experience with PC skills in Windows environment required

Chemical or Electrical Engineering Degree
