Maintenance Supervisor Wirral

To cover our Wirral homes and any other locations that may need it. You must be able to lead a team of maintenance operatives at our individual sites and look after a group of homes.

To include an on call rota.

About the role:

A maintenance supervisors day-to-day tasks can be extremely varied. One day you may be helping to build furniture, and another day carrying out routine checks around the homes.

Some of the tasks that a maintenance supervisor would carry out would be:

Liaising with Facilities Manager in coordinating all Maintenance works within the Homes and all rental properties within the timescales laid out.

Ensuring that all the Empty Rooms in our homes are ready and to the standard laid down by the Facilities Manager

Ensuring all Maintenance Vans are fully stock and carry out stock takes as and when required by Facilities Manager.

Supporting all the In House Maintenance Teams with their work loads, training where necessary, demonstrating best practice, highlighting any training needs.

Liaising with the Home Managers when on site, detailing all work to be carried out and the time scale, discussing any problems that may be encountered

In the Absence of the In House Maintenance carry out the required Maintenance Checks

To be available for maintenance emergencies which may occur at the Home and deal with effectively

Carry out weekly Maintenance Checks on Maintenance/Gardening Vehicles

Liaise with all Contractors and carry out Inductions as and when required

Deputise for the Facilities Manager when they are not available

To be successful in the role of maintenance person, our ideal candidate would:

  • Have good all-round maintenance skills such as joinery, plumbing and painting.
  • Have experience within a similar environment/role.
  • Show a good understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance.
  • Be physically fit and able to lift lighter items of furniture/objects safely.
  • Be able to maintain and use handheld tools safely (following any appropriate training)
  • Be willing to attend any training that will develop their skills and would be relevant to their role.
  • Hold a full driver’s license.
