Maintenance Supervisor

Best Western Stoke on Trent City Centre Hotel is a small, Privately-owned business located in Stoke on Trent. We are a small, close-knit group of people who all work together to provide our customers with the best quality products and services in the industry. We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our facilities and manage a small maintenance team. The Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional, must have general D I Y skills, willing to turn your hand to most household jobs, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. This position requires a person who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks with limited supervision.

Responsibilities
Supervise and direct the activities of maintenance personnel

• Ensure that maintenance equipment is in good working order and that all maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner
• Schedule regular maintenance sessions to keep facilities fully operational
• Maintain a clean and orderly Department
• Responsibility for weekly Health & Safety inspections and compliance
• Perform equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and preventative maintenance as directed by the general manager or group operations manager.
• Ensure that facility equipment is in good working order and that all maintenance requests are completed in a timely manner
• Coordinate daily operations with other departments as needed to keep facilities running smoothly
• Other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Group Operations Manager

Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as maintenance supervisor or similar position in commercial or residential setting preferred but not required

• Knowledge of general maintenance procedures and methods preferred but not required; ability to learn new methods from written instructions provided or from other individuals with experience.
• Working knowledge of tools and equipment needed for job completion (e.g., power tools, hand tools, air tools etc.)
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills (written & oral) with customer service based focus
• Ability to problem solve quickly & efficiently under pressure

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £10.42-£11.50 per hour
