We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our facilities maintenance team delivering planned preventive and reactive maintenance services to our multi-site retail client.

About the Job:
We are looking for a general all-rounder to join our team to work within a busy FM repairs team. You will be working on jobs carrying out general maintenance repairs and rectifying any defects to ensure our clients receive a high-quality service.


Preferably, you will come with experience of facilities management maintenance delivery, however, if you have general maintenance experience across a mix of areas as listed below we would still encourage you to apply as full training will be given for candidates who are hard-working and possess the right attitude.


Ideally, you will have the ability to confidently carry out as many of the below tasks independently as possible:
  • Basic fabric maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, flooring, painting & decorating, and general repairs.
  • External grounds repairs including tarmac repairs, line marking, paving and drainage gullies repairs, signage would be advantageous
  • Emergency lighting testing and lamp changing
  • Other general repair and maintenance work as and when required


(Depending on experience / contractual requirements we will consider applicants who have experience of some but not all the above as full training will be provided)

To be successful you will have::

Essential:

  • A mix of experience across a variety of the above tasks
  • Valid UK driver’s license
  • Experience working within a customer facing environment
  • "On the job" experience within a Handy-person, maintenance/repairs technician role or similar.
  • A degree of personal fitness as on occasion you may be required to climb ladders, use access equipment and work in confined spaces
  • Confident using handheld IT Equipment for managing works and documentation
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic.
  • Awareness and knowledge of health & safety.
Desirable:
  • Experience working within a maintenance remit for a multi-site retail client.
  • Shutters, gates, and checkout repair & maintenance experience.
Other Information:
The role will involve working 40 hrs per week Monday to Friday, and you will be required to be up to a maximum of 1 in 3 weeks on call.
