    • About Our Client

    The business are a well known, large global employer. This role is based at the Middlesbrough plant, which would be commutable from Darlington, County Durham, Hartlepool, Teesside, North Yorkshire and surrounding areas.

    Job Description

    • Review emergent work on a daily basis and engage with the relevant stakeholders accordingly to plan, prioritise and schedule work
    • Ensure jobs are fully planned and where required, walk the job with the relevant Technician / Engineer / Process coordinator to ensure all permits, spares and preparation work is complete so that the transfer of the work from the planning phase to the execution phase is efficient and timely.
    • Develop and maintain close relationships with Supply Chain and Production Planning to schedule work in line with operational priorities
    • Lead the weekly planning meeting and present the upcoming schedules for approval
    • The Maintenance Planner is a key user for the Maintenance SAP system
    • Identify opportunities to coordinate CI activities


    The Successful Applicant

    • Engineering and Manufacturing background is essential and experience in the chemical sector highly advantageous
    • The Maintenance Planner will have experience of planning work using software applications and SAP competence is required, additional systems training will be provided
    • They must have experience of planning and scheduling maintenance / engineering works and must be able to communicate well with stakeholders at various levels within the organisation
    • Previous trade / hands on engineering experience will be highly regarded and this role could suit someone who has transitioned from Engineer to Planner earlier in their career
