Maintenance Operative - Multi-skilled - £ Circa 26k

39 Hours a week

Our Multi-skilled Operatives work as part of our busy Property and estates team to provide maintenance and improvement works to Care Homes across the County and other areas of the business.

We’re looking for a qualified plumber or carpenter, with experience in general trades. If you’re a plumber it would be great if you have a working knowledge of carpentry, likewise, if you’re a carpenter it would be useful to a working knowledge of plumbing as we’ll ask you to undertake general building maintenance repairs across our estate, including room refurbishments and wetroom conversions.

What you’ll need:

* One made trade qualification e,g NVQ 2, NVQ 3 or City & Guilds (or time served trades experience)
* Highly proficient in at least one other trade
* Experience of working in a housing maintenance or property refurbishment environment
* The ability to carefully plan works, with the assistance of other Property Team members, within an operational care home environment
* Be able to work without supervision, working to tight and often changing timescales
* The ability to work on multiple contract or projects
