Maintenance Manager
Full time, permanent day’s role (early finish Friday’s)
£50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Redditch
Our client is a leading precision manufacturing business based in Redditch with circa 140 members of staff at this site. The business are seeking a new Maintenance Manager who can drive the improvement of processes across the shopfloor and also reduce machinery/production downtime.
The main purpose of the role is to:
· Manage the maintenance department to ensure optimum functionality
· Maintain an audit ready maintenance department
· Ensure each mechanical and electrical stage of the process operates under optimum application conditions
· Adherence to maintenance control plan
· Assess current technology for effectiveness and compare to new technology within the industry
· Yearly CI planning
· Yearly capital planning
· Maintain plant and equipment uptime at optimum operation and performance to meet the yield requirement and peak demand of available capacity.
· Maintain up to date plant and equipment maintenance control plan
· Facilitate plant and equipment uptime
· Drive TPM activity
· Coach and train the technical maintenance department Engineers and Apprentices
· Liaise with other functional managers within the relevant departments
· Control Maintenance spend in line with agreed budgets
· Manage and review service contracts and service levels
· Attend daily production meetings and provide detailed information
· Identify and manage critical spares stock
Ideal Candidate:
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
· Experience with maintaining different variations of CNC Machinery preferred.
· Ideally hold Professional qualifications (Level 3 or above – NVQ, C&G, HNC, HND, Degree)
· Experience with supplier management
· Experience of training Engineers
· Ability to communicate effectively and ensure comprehension across a diverse workforce
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Computer literate
· Able to work on own initiative, with minimal supervision
· Training in Health and Safety
