Job Summary

**NEWLY CREATED POSITION!**We have a brand-new opportunity for a MAINTENANCE MANAGER to join our growing engineering team at Florette in Lichfield.

Working in collaboration with the wider engineering function and other departments, this role is critical to the provision of an effective maintenance service to the business. This will include buildings, plant and associated equipment, ensuring efficiency, availability and reliability is maximised. This role will also drive the continuous improvement of the technical elements of our safety agenda, maintenance and equipment improvements, and the development of our engineering teams.

Working hours: 37.5 hours a week

Main Responsibilities

· Support the sites H&S agenda and support the H&S manager to ensure site is compliant against all relevant health and safety legislation.

· Work in conjunction with Engineering Manager and Facilities Manager to ensure all Engineering Health and Safety documentation and procedures across the site are adhered to and all the relevant documentation is up to date.

· Support Engineering Manager with the creation of department procedures. Audit the department for compliance to all company policies and procedures. Facilitate site audits both internal and external e.g., BRC, AIG, GMP. Ensure teams follow internal processes to deliver positive audit results.

· Manage and develop the maintenance team engaging in recruitment, performance management and succession planning.

· Ensure performance issues with both equipment and team are dealt with swiftly and in the correct manner.

· Understand the criticality of plant and equipment to business performance and prioritise and manage Maintenance activities to deliver agreed levels of performance.

· Work with Engineering Manager to set KPIs relating to maintenance. If required, set actions to bring performance in line with targets.

Skills and Experience Required

· Recognised qualification in an engineering discipline or recognised apprenticeship in engineering, preferably multi-discipline.

· People Management Experience.

· Previous experience in FMCG.

· Experience in using CMMS system.

· Sound technical knowledge.
