A fantastic opportunity is available for a post construction maintenance manager to join a prominent and respected Main Contractor operating across the whole of Scotland.

The Role

You will oversee projects from date of practical completion through to obtaining the certificate of making good.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out maintenance and customer care for projects post construction.
  • Dealing with making good defects and retention.
  • Ensure labour/plant/materials/subs are available to carry out works.
  • Ensure works are carried out timeously and as efficiently as possible.
  • Ensure responsible subcontractors carry out own maintenance.
  • Work with Directors and Contract Managers to mitigate repeat errors in construction,
  • recommend preventative action to avoid re-occurrence.
  • Control costs to minimise expenditure.
  • Programme works.
  • Collate contra charges to subcontractors.
  • Collate costs to apply for additional works.
  • Provide monthly update reports on all on-going maintenance.
  • Take a hands-on approach for minor defects.
Key Selection Criteria
  • Previous experience in a site management/maintenance or aftercare capacity for a main
  • contractor is essential
  • Joinery background would be desirable.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and multi-task whilst remaining calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
  • Holds commitment to customer service & quality
Requirements

This position requires the post holder to have a driver’s license and ability to undertake frequent

travel to site’s throughout the regional area.

Remuneration

Starting salary circa £45K - £50K

Van (company car may be possible depending on candidates interest)

Bonus - up to 20% salary

Holidays - 30 days (under review)

Pension 6%
