Their award winning products are known for their premium ingredients, rigorous quality control, and commitment to scientific research.The successful candidate of the Maintenance Engineer in Cumbria will have the key responsibilities as follows;
  • To maintain a safe working environment
  • To support the manufacturing process and maximise availability by responding safely and effectively to equipment breakdowns, carrying out scheduled maintenance work and being proactive on the correction and modification of reoccurring machine processing faults.
  • Apply problem solving and continuous improvement, recommend and implement improvements to maximise equipment availability, performance, reduce repetitive operator tasks, improve quality and reduce waste.
  • To ensure that machinery is maintained and repaired to a high standard, giving maximum focus to continuous improvement.
  • To fault find in a safe, effective, and efficient manner whilst utilising the various machines relevant documentation.
  • To establish harmonious relations with the operational staff and to work flexibly with them.
  • You will be an excellent communicator and build excellent relationships with departments
The successful candidate of the Maintenance Engineer in Cumbria will have the following key skills and characteristics;
  • Mechanical and or electronic engineering qualifications
  • An experienced qualified maintenance engineer who has served a recognised craft apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to train, coach and assist operators and other engineers.
  • Enthusiastic and motivated, with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Be flexible and co-operative to assist in meeting business needs.
  • Experience of creating task plans and procedural documents.
  • Experience of working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations.
  • Experience in troubleshooting installations, fault finding, and repairs.
