The Role
Responsible for ensuring that facilities, including machinery and associated services are adequately maintained and are capable of running to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes the implementation of a total preventative maintenance programme; the management of breakdowns of Laser, Waterjet, Plasma and CNC Equipment; along with general handyman type activities.
The Main Tasks of the Role are Outlined Below
Provide both a reactive and proactive, multi-skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. Responsible for planned scheduled maintenance and ensuring the adherence and timely completion of work carried out.
Increase the site operational effectiveness, improve project delivery, minimise downtime, manage and implement improvement plans, drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.
Implement and manage continuous improvement and modem manufacturing principles by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training working practices and processes.

Scope
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM’s) safely along with reacting to production
- Assist in the management & control of engineering stocks/tools/equipment and ensure all is documented
- Full understanding of all machinery and equipment workings
- Ensure all company machinery Health & Safety guidelines are followed and adhered too at all
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and
- Drive continuous improvement within the engineering
- Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve any issues.
- Monitor and maintain an appropriate inventory of consumables for machine servicing and general repairs, filling out order requests where necessary.
- Comply with and implement Health and Safety policies and
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Carry out planned maintenance as agreed with
Knowledge/Experience
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or other similar
- Experience in Laser / Waterjets beneficial although training will be
- Is familiar in working with KPI’s.
The Person
- A proactive attitude to troubleshooting issues with equipment and finding working
- At least 3 years’ experience of reactive and preventative
- Excellent communications
- Engineering qualification in either electrical /
- A good team
- Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical and electrical systems etc.
- Working knowledge of facilities machines and
- Ability to keep track of and report on
- Excellent interpersonal
Qualifications
- Skilled Maintenance Engineer with mechanically biased
- Performing planned and predictive
- Diagnosing faults and taking corrective
- Repairing equipment and reducing
- Carrying out maintenance repairs on machine
- Experience of diagnosis and repair of conventional production
- Contributing to improvement activities within the production and maintenance
- Need to be reliable, flexible and the ability to prioritise.
- Excellent fault finding and testing
- Electrical knowledge an advantage.
