Overview:
Fantastic position available for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join Rydon’s repairs and maintenance team at Lymington Hospital. Rydon is responsible for Lymington Hospital’s ongoing responsive/reactive maintenance services.

Job Purpose:
The role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer is varied and will see the successful candidate undertake both responsive/reactive repairs and planned maintenance to ensure that the hospital is able to provide quality care to its service users.

Typical repairs that you will undertake include maintenance to distribution boards, electric water heaters, generators and emergency light systems. You will also be providing repairs on a reactive basis as well as completing small installation works including testing, fault finding, rewiring, and upgrade of new and existing wiring and general ad-hoc repairs ensuring that jobs completed meet the desired quality and customer service standards. In essence, if you have the skills and experience, we are able to provide significant variety in the work you undertake; ensuring that no two days are the same.

Normal working hours are 8am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday. There is also an on call rota which you will need to be able to participate in which offers the opportunity to increase your earnings and be involved in additional urgent repairs.

Experience Required:
Previous relevant electrical experience in the maintenance of buildings is essential and the successful candidate will have:
  • Relevant Trade qualifications to include NVQ/City & Guilds Electrical Installation, Inspection and Testing and 18th Edition would be ideal
  • Proven electrical maintenance experience
  • Good understanding of building fabric maintenance
  • Good customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
