The Hospital Fertility Group are in an exciting phase of growth and development, we are in a period of developing our clinics and sites. With a new state of the art centre in Eastbourne and a new one being established in Kent and an ambitious growth plan for the next 1-3 years.

We are looking for a hardworking and dependable individual to:

  • provide and co-ordinate site maintenance for our Eastbourne centre
  • to be our inter site driver, shuttling staff between Eastbourne and our centre in Orpington, and vice and versa as required.

The key roles and responsibility for the maintenance part of the role are:

  • General on site external maintenance of building, car park and green space
  • Maintenance inside the centre i.e. painting, flooring, repairs to both general office and patient areas
  • Being proactive in ordering what is required to make sure the Centre operates without fault
  • Being approachable by all departments to assist where needed
  • General plumbing skills as onsite toilet / kitchen facilities
  • Co-ordinating and managing contractors where specialist or certified support is required such as gas safe or electrical analysis, repair or testing

The key responsibilities for the driving part of the role are

  • driving in a safe, considerate and professional manner, in accordance with the highway code
  • managing the maintenance of the Company’s pool car, ensuring that it is roadworthy and organising a temporary replacement whenever required
  • ensuring the car is cleaned and sanitized prior to each use.
  • delivering staff on to their destination on time, ensuring that journeys are planned robustly, making use of traffic updates and live mapping etc

As the role is within the health sector, confidentiality and discretion are an absolute must.

Requirements:

  • Good communication skills
  • Have a valid UK driving license with no endorsements
  • Advanced driving certification would be an advantage
  • Good experience of general site maintenance, both hands on and co-ordinating/managing subcontractors.
  • Able to use online tools

We are looking for someone for initially for one day (8hours) a week- but for an exceptional candidate we would consider more hours.

Part-time hours: 8 per week
