Hellidon Lakes is a modern and stylish hotel resort offering a spectacular venue for golf breaks, business events & conferences, weddings and social functions, set amongst the glorious rolling hills of the Northamptonshire & Warwickshire countryside.

The Maintenance Assistant & Groundsperson Role

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Maintenance Assistant & Groundsperson to join our Maintenance Team. If you want to embark on a new career or develop your existing skills, we would be interested in talking to you. Immediate start available.

Duties:

Specific duties will be fully explained by your supervisor, and will include tasks to ensure the Hotel and grounds are maintained to the highest operational and presentation standards at all times.

Key responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant & Groundsperson include:

• To assist the Maintenance Manager to carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks correctly and efficiently, ensuring a safe environment for guests, visitors and employees.
• To carry out weekly and monthly safety checks
• To carry out gardening duties, clear and maintain car park and all outdoor guest areas
• Assist, as required, the Greenkeeping team in golf course maintenance and presentation.
• Have, or gain, a thorough knowledge of all plant and equipment in the hotel and maintain these in efficient working order by following routine maintenance procedures.
• Carry out urgent, reactive maintenance and decorating work, to include repairs required to guest bedrooms and services, whilst adhering to all safety procedures and minimising disruption.
• Respect guests’ privacy at all times.
• To maintain personal hygiene standards at all times

The Ideal Maintenance Assistant & Groundsperson must have:

• A logical approach to problem solving.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrics and general building would be advantageous
• Previous maintenance experience within a hotel setting would be preferable.
• Understanding of Health and Safety.
• Experience within Spa’s and leisure facilities would be beneficial.
• Full driving license due to location
• Enthusiasm for the job
• A genuine desire to succeed
• A track record of reliability and achievement

Shift times will vary and will include some evenings and weekends.

Salary: From £24,000.00 per year
