Job Purpose / Summary

Hydraflow, part of the Rubix Group, was founded in 1898 and serves more than 500 customers in the UK and boasts a blue-chip client base that includes some of the largest manufacturers. We specialise in hydraulic cylinders and new manufactures of hydraulic cylinders.



Key Responsibilities

Main Tasks and Deliverables:

  • Ensure workflow procedures are followed.
  • Operate various machines tools to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring and conventional lathe and milling work.
  • Perform various metallising techniques as required.
  • Balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment.
  • Use hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools.
  • Record all data necessary to produce expected service or design results.
  • Maintain machines in good working order and report any defects to management.
  • Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Keep work area neat and tidy.
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures and wear the correct PPE.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request.
  • Use various hand-held and stationary power and non-power tools, including but not limited to band saw, belt sanders, hand grinders, files, etc.
  • Ensure that all company H&S policies and procedures are followed to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues.
  • Promote a culture of working safely as routine.

Skills and Experience:

  • High school qualifications.
  • Must have experience of manual machining.
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines.
  • Must be a good team player but also able to work using your own initiative.
