The business are a global designer and manufacturer of bespoke products to various industry sectors. Due to continued growth and success, they are seeking to recruit a CNC Team Leader to their team. Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager you will carry out the following duties within the machine shop department. The main purpose of the CNC Team Leader role is the supervision of a team of CNC programmers, setters and operators within the machine shop, ensuring objectives are met and company goals achieved. Responsibilities / Job duties are as follows;
  • Accomplish department objectives by supervising staff and organisation of work process
  • Ensure company goals, department performance is communicated effectively to the team
  • Identify areas for improvement and training opportunities for the team
  • Generate and monitor a production schedule for the manufacturing area daily and weekly
  • Carry out programming, setting and operation of CNC machinery within the department
  • Work to drawings and CAD files with a variety of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Operation of manual machinery and a wide variety of hand tools
  • Oversee calibration, TPM, guarding sign off and annual machine servicing
  • Ensure the department meets health and safety requirements at all times As a CNC Team Leader you will need to hold the following skills and experience.
  • Hold supervisory, team leading or managerial experience
  • Experience programming, setting and operation of CNC machinery
  • Knowledge of CNC language - Haas, would be advantageous to have Fanuc
  • Knowledge of vertical milling centres & turning centres
  • Able to read and interpret CAD drawings
  • Experience of quality tools such as gauges, micrometres, callipers, rulers etc
  • Have a "can do" attitude and a good eye for detail Salary £32.000 to £34,000 per annum The client is based in Solihull so would be easily commutable from Birmingham, Redditch, Coventry, Bromsgrove, Tamworth, Stratford upon Avon.
