We are seeking Loss Control Agents to join our client, you will take control of the management of any new Loss Control case created during or post a Customers hire period, including logging and recording first notification of loss, assessing damage and circumstances, and deciding as to whether HAS are able to supply a new hire. The role also includes liaising with Insurers and Solicitors for damage recovery and managing the recovery of parking tickets, speeding fines, driving offences and any other costs incurred.

You Will

Complete a First Notification of Loss report from a Customer following any damage reported to the hire vehicle. Accurately gather and record all required information, recognising where further interrogation or validation may be required over and above a customer’s version of events to ensure next actions are appropriate. Assess extent of damage caused and establish roadworthiness of the hire vehicle. Assess if a further hire car is required and whether a further vehicle should be provided depending on any security concerns. Satisfy company security requirements in respect of client identification and fraud detection, ensuring team leaders and/or managers are notified of any suspicions. Use initiative and outside-the-box thinking when managing a Snatchback or Theft file to ensure all avenues are exhausted to support the recovery of a vehicle and communicate with Suppliers and HAS Leadership team throughout. Follow the rules as stipulated in referrer profile when handling damage to a vehicle. Liaise with Insurers, witnesses, repairers and other interested parties as necessary to fully validate or progress the claim. Identify any shortfall or costs disputes with Insurers and Solicitors to ensure a full recovery is made. Act as an intermediary and work with Insurers and Suppliers to resolve any financial disputes by obtaining information from Engineers and provide any supporting evidence for the dispute. Escalate to internal contact points to ensure a resolution with Supplier or Insurer disputes is handled within a reasonable timeframe. Ensure outstanding expenses from the hire period are reimbursed i.e., parking tickets, speeding fines, fuel shortages, damages and theft of the vehicle. Have an overview of the Association of British Insurers and General Terms of Agreement guidelines relating to the providing of hire. Overcome a client’s objections to help resolve outstanding Loss Control files and obtain evidence from there for any disputed cases. Processing invoices, payment plans and write-offs. Liaise with any other parties involved in a case including police. Processing all related administration documents. Contribute/assist in championing the need for continuous improvement, seeking to improve processes and efficiencies. Strictly adhere to company data protection policy and work towards individual targets
The role of Loss Control Agent would suit someone with experience Dealing with customer queries on the telephone with Excellent communication skills, Good organisation skills and Team player.

Based in Verwood own transport would be beneficial. This is a permanent position starting at £9.48PH.
