Logistics operative required by our client based in Poole within the engineering industry. The main aspect of this role is to ensure timely and accurate processing of all stores duties including packing, picking, dispatching parts and other processes relating to the stores.

Main duties:

  • Logging all goods received or dispatched on the company system.
  • Filing and maintaining documentation.
  • Investigate errors and report to the relevant person.
  • Ensuring all parts are stored in the relevant place
  • Processing kits
  • Accurate inventory data
  • Making sure batches are clearly identified and controlled.
  • Delivery and collection duties
  • Operating a forklift truck
  • Handling raw materials including some heavy weights.
  • Cutting of material using the company machines

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience of working within a stores role with an understanding of stock and how it is segregated within the stores.
  • Previous experience of cutting materials on machinery.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner.
  • Accurate data entry
  • Clean driving licence and a forklift licence is desirable but not essential.

The working hours for this role are Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm and Friday 8am – 1pm.

25 days Holiday per year plus bank holidays
