Logistics Despatch Senior Operative 4 ON 4 OFF* Reporting to Logistics Despatch Shift Supervisor*

The role will be to carry out theactivities of the Despatch department. The candidate will carry out general warehouse and logistics duties as directedby the Despatch shift Supervisor or Manager. They work as part of the Despatchand Logistics team and will work according to our policies and procedures. Theperson will need a strong personality and good communications skills as theywill liaise with Warehouse Operatives, Logistics Supervisors/Manager,Production Managers and Planning team. The role is varied and focuses on raw materials and other goods,receiving, picking, packing and distribution. The candidate must be organizedand methodical with a strict attention to detail.
Primary functions

• Taking active part in all aspect of picking and dispatching finished goods

• Using initiative and experience to actively seek improvements to enable most efficient ways of working, developing and mentoring existing team alongside Supervisor.

• Communicate with internal JZ departments and haulage companies to organize incoming and outgoing goods

• Comply with Health and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare products andpaperwork for despatch

• Ensure all stock counts arecompleted and period end stock counts are completed

• Support in other logistic dutiesas required

• Comply with the Company rules andregulations as detailed within the Company Handbook

Knowledge and skills
Essential skills

• Forklift or electric wheelslicense

• English: communicative

• Be a team player with a can do attitude

• Computer level; basic

• Driving License

Desirable skills

• Experience with Vision or otherWMS Systems

Core Working Hours
Dayshift, 4 on 4 off, 06:00 18:00 with occasional additional shifts as required in order to facilitate the needs of the business.
Salary scale: £10.90 per hour, Overtime after 42.5 hours at 125%, Unsociable hours pay 00:00-06:00 at 15% & Contributory Pension Scheme
Annual leave: 19 Days incl bank holiday
