Location: FifeDepartment: OperationsAccountability: Regional Finance Manager/Operations Support ExecutiveAre you ready for an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Logistics Assistant? We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to support our operations department for a temporary period of 3 months minimum. As a Logistics Assistant, you will play a crucial role in optimizing transportation, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring smooth logistics processes for our products.Responsibilities:Utilise planning/ERP tools such as Microsoft Nav and (url removed) to streamline logistics operations.Take ownership of inbound and outbound transportation activities for our products.Develop and implement efficient transport planning strategies to meet customer and stakeholder needs.Maintain meticulous pre-shipment and post-shipment administration for accurate record-keeping.Evaluate and respond to additional/special service requests, such as inside delivery or same-day delivery.Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve service and operational issues.Document shipping procedures for all shipping destinations, ensuring consistency and compliance.Monitor performance and cost data of main service freight/logistics carriers for continuous improvement.Ensure timely and accurate receipt of orders into service inventory locations.Provide support in preparations for trade shows, including coordination with OEM suppliers for technology usage.Assist in stock control measures, including periodic stock checks to ensure the safe storage of warehouse assets.Requirements:Possess a pleasant and helpful demeanor, providing excellent customer service.Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.Proficient computer skills, with the ability to effectively use relevant software tools.Strong command of written and verbal English for understanding instructions and communication.Thrive in a team-oriented environment, actively contributing to collaboration and effective communication.Exhibit problem-solving skills to tackle challenges and find solutions.Prior experience with international shipping and documentation.Familiarity with working alongside courier companies and freight forwarders.If you are interested in this role please apply online.
