We have extensive experience delivering food and bar operations at large music festivals, premium events and fixed venues, with crowds spanning from 10,000 to over a 100,000 across the UK and Ireland. We are recognised as market leading in creating unique and engaging environments in the most unlikely and challenging of locations. We operate at over 100 events a year, working in close partnership with festival promoters and prestigious sporting venues.
The Role
Your role as the Logistics and Warehouse Manager is to organise the storage and distribution of our assets and goods. You’ll be working with our Events team to ensure that the right assets are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You will also be involved in transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.
Understanding the supply chain is important so that you can coordinate it effectively and liaise with suppliers of raw materials, manufacturers, and retailers.
Responsibilities
As a logistics and distribution manager, you’ll need to:
- use IT systems to manage asset movements, delivery times and transport costs
- use associated information systems to coordinate and control the availability and utilisation of our assets
- use data from IT systems to evaluate performance and quality and to plan improvements
- allocate and manage staff resources according to changing needs
- manage staff
- liaise and provide support to our Events team
- liaise and negotiate with suppliers
- develop business by gaining new contracts, analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions
- continually try to improve and develop business performance within the constraints of legislation, fuel costs and rising environmental pressures
- implement health and safety procedures
- manage staff training issues
- motivate other members of the team
- set objectives
- plan and manage projects
- work on new supply strategies
- plan vehicle routes
- plan repairs/maintenance programs for the fleet of assets in line with the Events team on a cyclical basis
Essential Criteria
Proven work experience in a similar role with the ability and focus to implement process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to manage staff in a variety of situations.
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills with the confidence in making a judged and measured decision.
- An organised team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff engagement.
- Be able to communicate with multiple relationships at different levels both verbally and written.
- Possess a good understanding and have the ability to promote health and safety within the Logistics and Warehouse areas
- Demonstrate competent IT Skills (Office 365)
- Driving License and own vehicle to access Site
- Forklift licence and experience
Desirable Criteria
- HGV Licence
- Professional qualification in logistics and transport
