Due to continued expansion UKI Express Transport are looking to recruit brightest and very well educated young people to join their successful and ambitious team.

Summary of Role
To assist with the management of the company’s traffic planning and back load operations ensuring they are professional, accurate, compliant and cost effective at all times. Working alongside the existing operations staff you will be responsible for the coordination of the companies back loads to assist in the company’s continued growth. Deliveries can range from local HGV or national same day courier services throughout the UK. You will liaise with clients, drivers and sub-contractors so you must have experience of coordinating backloads and dealing with people at all levels. This is a challenging but rewarding role, with excellent opportunities for the right person.

Main duties
Customers liaison / customers services: quoting customers & following up on quotes, taking orders / bookings, answering queries from existing customers and potential new customers (trailer availability, transit time etc.)
Subcontracting: liaising with network of hauliers / trailer providers / contractors, sourcing trailer capacity from them, negotiating rates with them and organising transport operations by road as per customers requirements
Monitoring transports, ensuring that the order goes smoothly from collection to delivery, solving problems, updating and reporting back to customers delivering a faultless customer service.
Admin relating to each transport: making sure costing’s and info on file / on freight software is accurate before file is passed to invoicing department
Liaising with the company’s Branch Manager re new leads, enquiries from new contacts.
This is a varied role, but the main issue is customer services and providing an excellent service at all times.
