About Our Client

In line with the business sector strategy, the Logistics Account Manager (North) will aim to maximise the profitability of a designated customer portfolio, encompassing customer service, account performance, organic growth and price reviews of existing business against clearly defined commercial agreements.

Job Description

  • Developing opportunities and sales growth in line with the business plan
  • Retention of existing customer accounts
  • Maintaining the ongoing profitability of accounts against a clearly defined SLA and initiate pricing reviews where required
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing excellent relationships with key players and stakeholders within each customer organisation and sector
  • Working closely with Internal Warehouse and Logistics operations
  • Ensuring that the TCL operational solution is delivered robustly, reacting to service failures with action plans where appropriate
  • Claims (minimisation) and resolution
  • Debt management
  • Implementing Peak / promotional activity management in co-operation with the with the local operational team
  • Maintaining excellent internal relationships with key operational colleagues

The Successful Applicant

  • Previous knowledge of logistics / supply chain in a chilled food environment (Ideally as a Logistics Account Manager (North))
  • Understanding the financial implications in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Previous commercial experience of negotiating large contracts
  • Experience of influencing and persuading operational teams
  • Wide experience of chilled food suppliers and retailers outside the M&S arena
  • Full understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong analytical approach to business, with excellent commercial acumen
  • An understanding of our safety focus and how to influence at customer locations
  • Full understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Live within a commutable distance of Chesterfield (for occasional travel)
