CONSULTANT GENERAL PAEDIATRICIAN

Location: PRUH - Princess Royal University Hospital, Orpington

Consultant in General Paediatrics based at the Princess Royal University Hospital.

We are inviting applications for a Consultant General Paediatrician to join our team at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Bromley. The role will be fixed term for 12 months (10PAs). This role has been developed to expand the general paediatric consultant establishment. We are recruiting initially as a 12 month fixed term appointment with a plan to subsequently recruit a substantive consultant into post.

The role will include general paediatric clinics, paediatric ward and paediatric ED weeks and general paediatric Consultant of the Week (COW) on-call. On-site evening duties until 21:30 and off site night on-call duties,

Special Interest in Paediatric Respiratory Medicine or Paediatric Gastroenterology

A developed special interest in either paediatric respiratory medicine or paediatric gastroenterology is desirable to support future development of services for Kings Child Health. The future strategy is to build on Kings-Denmark Hill tertiary services to increase speciality expertise available at PRUH and develop increased cross site working. We will also consider applications from general paediatricians with alternative interests.
