An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Trainee Dealer at Redmayne Bentley, one of the UK’s largest independent Investment Management and Stockbroking firms. The role is based at the firm’s Locksbottom Office, located outside of the hustle and bustle of London’s inner city, between Bromley and Orpington.

What You Will Be Doing

Working as part of a wider team your training will start by supporting dealers, stockbrokers and the manager within the office, whilst you shadow the team, learning more about stockbroking and investment processes. Using your keen interest in the financial services sector, you will undertake training via our training & competency scheme, attaining the skills to be able to execute trades in the stock market on behalf of clients, the regulatory principles required to perform the role, communicate effectively both over the telephone and face to face and provide an excellent service to both existing and potential new clients.As you progress through your training you will be expected to gain the CISI level 4 IAD UK Regulation and Professional Integrity exam, which will provide you with the platform to take client investment instructions. There will be opportunities to develop yourself further by taking exams as you continue with your career progression.

As the position is within a highly regulated sector you will be ensuring compliance with the FCA rules and regulations, which is fundamental when assisting clients and opening new accounts.

What You Will Bring To The Team

You will be educated to A-level standard, with a keen eye for detail, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.You will have an excellent and professional telephone manner and the ability to work as part of a team. You will be driven and enthusiastic for learning more about the investment and financial industry, with the ability to build relationships with our clients to deliver an exceptional service.

The role requires you to be able to manage a varied workload, to prioritise tasks and handle personal data with a high level of confidentiality. Furthermore, you will be able to apply your own initiative and take responsibility to resolve any issues as they arise.
