Monday To Thursday 06:00 -17:30(Overtime may be available during busy times).

Sierra Windows part of the Epwin Group are a leading manufacturer of Double Glazed products based in Paignton Devon. We now have a vacancy within the Transport and Despatch team for a Loader working on the day shift.

This is a challenging role which will primarily involve the loading/unloading of our fleet of HGV vehicles with products and conducting self-audit quality checks on completed loads that have will have been secured ready for despatch.

Duties To Include
  • To ensure the safe transfer of manufactured products (including associated parts) from a storage area onto a vehicle/trailer.
  • To safely load vehicles and trailers with these finished products and secure ready for despatch, insuring any missing products are brought to the attention of team leader/manager.
  • Ensuring the loading bay is compliant with the current Health and Safety Policy.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the entire loading bay (including the vehicle bays).
  • To carry out other duties to include working in the ancillary department using both cross cut and steel band saw (Training to be provided) to cut and prepare goods for packaging and despatch.
  • May also be expected to cover Holiday and Sickness over the night shift
Experience And Skills
  • Ability to work as a loader within a factory situated transport department.
  • Excellent Communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Planning and organising skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy in order to fulfil the role
  • Previous experience working within a window manufacturing environment would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Due to the nature of this role a good standard of fitness would be an advantage.
