With extensive travel throughout the County you will work alongside Marie Curie colleagues as well as other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated andco-ordinated service that delivers care and support to people with terminal illnesses, whilst also offering vital emotional support for their families.

The Marie Curie Rapid Response Service covers late and night shifts Mon to Friday and 24 hours at weekends and Bank Holidays.

Shift times are:
  • Late shift 15.15 – 22.30
- Night shift 22.30 - 08.00
  • Weekends and bank holidays also include an early shift, 08.00 – 15.15.
Rota to cover all 3 shifts.

Marie Curie Rapid Response Service is a community based palliative care service whose aim is to respond quickly to support patients and their carers within the community and prevent inappropriate admissions to secondary care.

Using evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high quality care, you will demonstrate advanced analytical assessment skills for palliative care patients and plan, implement and evaluate the care provision in the patient’s home.

We are passionate about continuous improvement and are looking for nurses who share this passion to work with us to ensure the people we serve, and our staff are treated with respect and as individuals.

What we are looking for:

  • RN Registration Level 1
  • Experience in NHS or other relevant care setting providing palliative care
  • Ability to work in a complex and stressful environment and demonstrate appropriate coping mechanisms
  • Be a licensed driver with access to a car and a willingness to travel is essential
