Full Time, Term Time permanent position

Monday to Friday 8.30 am – 4.30 pm (Term Time Only)

We are currently looking to recruit a L2 Teaching Assistant to work within Education Services in Sunderland.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Teaching Assistant Level 2 to work at our School in Sunderland but you must be flexible to work elsewhere in the North East if needed. Whilst we value experience, you need to be committed to providing a personalised education to to children and young people on the Autistic Spectrum aged between 4 and 19.

Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be expected to liaise with parents and professionals within children’s services and from outside agencies. You will need to show patience and flexibility as children and young people may communicate in different ways. You should also have the ability to submit written reports on the assessment and development of children and young people. The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a Level 2 certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent) or willing to work towards this qualification.
