Legionella Risk Assessor - Are you a Legionella Risk Assessor looking for a new role to work in with a fresh team of experts? Rocket Staffing are proudly supporting one of the UK’s leading providers of proficiency qualifications for asbestos and legionella training with a vacancy now in your area. With offices across the UK and practical training facilities, this independently owned business is trusted by their national customer base to help provide safer workplaces. The role A sound knowledge regarding the control of Legionella in hot and cold water systems is necessary for this role, you may also be expected to provide a wide range of water hygiene-related services that will include maintenance and remedial works on water systems as and when required. Don’t worry, any additional training will be offered to perform successfully in this role. Other responsibilities may include training and development of less experienced staff, client liaison, and providing technical advice to the sales team. The position requires for the Legionella Risk Assessor to be flexible, work on their own initiative and be confident in front of the client. Responsibilities Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in a wide range of buildings and system types Completing risk assessments reports on the company’s software system based on a tablet Report writing and schematic layout drawings Mentoring of Water Hygiene Technicians up to Legionella Risk Assessors Writing reports and reviews, as well as identifying appropriate recommendations in line with the scope of works Carry out client and company audits Skill Set Knowledge of domestic, commercial and industrial water systems Must be fully conversant with water treatment and the health and safety procedures Understanding of Approved Code of Practise and Guidance L8 City and Guilds or similar risk assessor qualification, although, we welcome applicants who are qualified by experience Able to produce assessments that help enable our clients to demonstrate compliance with their health and safety requirements Knowledge of the management and control of Legionella in water systems is also essential Ability to work on own initiative Customer focused with good communication skills Flexible approach to working hours
