To provide an effective administrative service for the Mental Health Act and Legal Services Team to ensure the Trust’s compliance with multiple pieces of legislation including the Mental Health Act 1983, the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (soon to be 2019), the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Coroners and Justice Act 2009.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an apprentice position within the Mental Health Act and Legal Services Team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hard-working individual to support the smooth running of our specialist legal services team to ensure compliance with multiple legislative instruments.

The role will involve general administrative duties, office procedures and document scrutiny. In return the apprentice will receive specialist in-house and off-the-job training which would lead to a high level understanding of varied legal services and the NHS environment, and a Level 3 NVQ Business and Administration qualification.

This is an eighteen-month fixed term contract working full time (37.5 hours/week) Monday to Friday and will be based at Trust Headquarters in Lincoln.

Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist mental health and learning disability services across Lincolnshire and some specialist services outside of the county. Services are delivered by multi-disciplinary teams of professional and support staff within a framework of functional line management.
In addition, the Trust has strong working arrangements with the local health community, voluntary organisations and the independent sector and stakeholders.

Please see the Job Description and Person Specification attached for further information on the role.
