Howcould you helpus do this?

The Legal Counsel will act as a legal advisor to assigned internal clients (including the range of company businesses and functions). Identify legal risk and recommends solutions that help address the clients objectives. Represent company in transactions, interactions or disputes with customers, suppliers, partners, and competitors. Balance the business interests of client groups with ultimate fiduciary responsibility to company. Represent the company before industry policy setting organizations, government agencies and other regulatory bodies.

What kind of work would you be doing?

• Provide legal expertise to support client decisions in a sub-region and/or business unit or function.
• Develop risk profiles addressing complex commercial or specialty law.
• Promote legal awareness and lead legal training activities for clients.
• Identify, analyze and resolve complex legal issues.
• Concurrently work on multiple legal issues and projects for various client organizations.
  

What achievements should you have so far?

Advanced university degree in law (e.g. JD or LLB); additional advanced degree relevant to the specialty preferred.

Advanced breadth and depth of practical and academic knowledge with regards to litigation, employment issues,and investigations.

Strong knowledge of company policies and procedures and awareness of the international legal environment for the specific legal concentration.

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change.

Exposure to a tech company would be great, but we are flexible on this!

If youalsohave a degree in a relevant subject, great!

Advanced skills and experience in negotiating or advising on complex or high value/risk matters in the specialty.

Proactive and effective communicator of valuable information to clients and colleagues.

You need to meet the local legal license requirements.

Proven commercial legal experience at a law firm or in-house.

Advanced level of experience in one or more specialty law practice areas acquired through being a leading resource in-house or in similar industry or law firm environment.

You need to be able to get your colleagues as excited about your activity as you are, so you need to be confident and persuasive.Being able to articulatethe benefits and outcomes of your ideas is essential to gain buy-in.
