An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer 2 ESOL specialist to join the ESOL delivery team at Sunderland College. We are looking for someone who has the passion and drive to make a difference for our ESOL students, offering support and setting high expectations regarding learning experience, progress, achievement and future employment.

The successful candidate will deliver English within our ESOL provision which supports Adult and 16-18 Study Programme students including additional qualifications to add breadth. You will have the opportunity to develop your teaching practice with the flexibility to teach across all levels and ESOL related subjects. The role will allow the successful candidate to expand and enhance their teaching portfolio and be part of the team to develop future opportunities across the region.

We are looking to appoint an outstanding teaching practitioner in ESOL/English who possesses the ability to share their knowledge, experience and expertise with students. Review, development and implementation of effective and inclusive teaching, learning and assessment tools to support a creative and innovative curriculum for the future are essential.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate, in their personal statement, practical examples of how they fulfil the person specification.
