Job description

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to lead our Leasehold and Housing Contracts Team. In the role you will have an opportunity to shape the delivery of contracts and processes to ensure that efficiency and value for money is optimised. Your ability to provide expert leadership and management across all functions and services carried out by the team will have a positive impact on the lives of our customers and ensure that Salix homes delivers first class customer service.

The main purpose of the role is to manage and lead effective, customer focused management services to leaseholders, shared owners and private sector leasing tenants. You will also lead on the management of our housing contracts with the council and other customers and stakeholders.

The role - What I’ll be doing:

If successful, the main duties of your role will include responsibility for:

  • Leading a team which delivers a sustainable, supportive and effective customer service to leaseholders, Private Sector Leasing (PSL) tenants and commercial shop tenants.
  • Ensuring all relevant policies and procedures are fit for purpose and meet good practice and legal obligations.
  • Ensuring we fulfil our contractual obligations in the delivery of housing management services we provide to others.
  • Day to day operational management of the team.
  • Management of budgets and financial forecasting.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for someone who has thorough knowledge and understanding of the management and legislative requirements covering:

  • Leaseholders
  • Service charges
  • Private rental sector and assured shorthold tenure
  • Management of commercial shop premises

You will also be an experienced manager with the ability to motivate and inspire your team to achieve results and meet challenging targets.
