Support Manager - LD Sturminster £35,000pa + Benefits and career progression opportunities A great opportunity has arisen for a passionate, committed and enthusiastic Support Manager with a ’can do ’ attitude to help build a strong community link for the people in care and staff teams. There are 18 incredible flats on one site for which you would be responsible for. Working with both young and older adults, this is an amazing opportunity to really support people to achieve their goals and aspirations and develop their independence with this being there first home (for some of the people in support). You will be required to work with a large staff team, with the support of a team leader. The need to encourage and embed a positive culture for the people in support and the staff teams is essential. The people in support have learning disabilities, they live independently in their own flats with support from staff on site 24/7. The people in support may have autism, physical needs, specific communication needs, may have also suffered with trauma previously and sometimes communicate through their behaviours. We require a manager with a good understanding of positive behaviour support and how to improve the quality of someone’s life by working in partnership with them and key people that know them well. Your role will involve: Directly line manage a team of Team Leaders and Support Workers Need to be a strong leader with a proven track record of working with a variety of support needs Provide regular supervisions, appraisals and inductions Ensure quality and compliance is maintained within the locations, including regular finance audits, updating the people we support plans, risk assessments and facilitating person centred plan meetings with and behalf of the people in support Attend review meetings for the people in support Assess and reviewing existing and new support contracts Provide on-call support where required Monitor goals and actions relating to the persons support needs and expectations of the Local Authority Demonstrate Affinity Trust values in everything you do Build and retaining positive relationships with our stakeholders and families Benefits: 28 days paid holiday per year (inc. bank holidays) Make a genuine difference to someone`s life Blue Light Card Pension scheme Sleep in & bank holiday payment enhancements Fantastic training and development Paid for DBS To apply or for more information, please call Gabriela at BS Social Care on 0117 948 6300 or click apply.
