Title:People Development Manager – Analytics & Reward Compliance

Reporting to:Head of People Development & Senior Reward & Compliance Manager

Department:People Development

Location: JD Group Head Office, Bury, BL9 8RR

Role overview:

We are looking for an individual who will partner with Head of People Development and the Senior Reward and Compliance Manager as well as other key stakeholders to set the overall direction and strategy for the overall Compliance aspect of learning and development including how analysis of the legislation to ensure we meet the required standards.. You will be able to successfully evaluate and measure ROI on all development programmes and ensure that future activity is costed, operationally planned and compliant with people processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform strategic analysis to drive meaningful insights
  • Understand strategic decision-making process in a large organisation and facilitate change
  • Participate and lead discussions with Managers and key stakeholders to influence and recommend process improvement
  • Liaise with Head of People Development and Senior Reward and Compliance Manager to cost and budget future activity, ensuring it’s in line with business strategy
  • Manage priorities across several projects
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities to ensure policies and procedures always reflect high standard and best practice
  • Responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of robust quality management systems ensuring the People Development’s duties are fulfilled and exceeded
  • Ensure systems and services are monitored and reviewed to continually improve quality and outcomes for all colleagues
  • Driving forward quality projects, based on best practice and in conjunction with relevant internal stakeholders to achieve excellence
  • Own the governance of practice, quality processes and outcomes for services within the department and agreed allocated services
  • Provide active support, advice, and guidance to services on any changes to legislation, regulation and sector guidance
  • Staying up to date with relevant news in relation to Pay, Tax and Reward in general and updating the team on a regular basis of any budget/legislative changes.
  • Annual Budget and Spring/Autumns Statement updates with the wider team.

To be successful, the applicant will require:

  • Strong understanding of data analysis techniques
  • Experience of using data to drive improvements
  • Excellent coordination, delegation, reporting, and resource allocation skills
  • Accurate, detailed and process driven
  • Ability to present data findings in a creative and engaging way
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Microsoft 365 functions such as Word & Power point
  • Confident to present data findings
  • Good working knowledge of GDPR
  • Good understanding of UK Tax system and Budget updates.
  • An excellent communicator – verbal and written
  • Passion for people development and creating positive impact
  • Experience in similar role desirable
