Working within a state of the art, high throughput diagnostics laboratory in Leamington Spa. They are seeking a Learning and Technical Training Consultant.

Purpose

To support the Leads for Scientific Technical Training and Induction/Soft Skills Development in establishing, delivering and evolving a high quality, comprehensive and integrated learning and development journey for all lab staff, actively contributing to the effective development and implementation of the L&D training strategy, and ensuring the lab’s exacting quality and compliance requirements are met.

The role’s main focus will be to design and deliver a broad range of scientific and non-scientific technical face to face/virtual training and support the delivery of induction and soft skills training as required. Whilst the role will operate from the Lab site or from its temporary training suite at the University of Warwick Wellesbourne campus, the site operates a flexible working policy. There may be an occasional need to travel to national light house laboratories to establish best practice pre and post the lab’s go live.

Key responsibilities

Service delivery

  • Support the design and development of high-quality training materials to meet the agreed training priorities and strategy
  • Prepare and deliver training and facilitation of development events whilst maintaining a professional training environment
  • Assess and evaluate results and provide performance feedback
  • Coach and mentor staff across the entire training lifecycle
  • Support Training Leads and relevant SME’s with pre/post event coordination, measuring success and impact
  • Create, administer and evolve training curriculums and training plans to ensure compliance
  • Ensure compliant management of training records and associated assessments
  • Provide advice to line managers and staff regarding learning and continuing development programmes, the Lab’s training plan and its training offering

Essential:

  • Experience of working in a highly regulated pharma/laboratory environment or similar
  • Proven experience working with a LMS platform e.g. Q-Pulse, ComplianceWire, SAP, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience of applying instructional system design (ISD) model e.g. ADDIE
  • Experience designing and developing PowerPoint slides/templates - intermediate/advanced level
  • Experience using Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word - intermediate/advanced level
  • Analytical skills – ability to extract management information, analyse and interpret the data utilising Excel as appropriate and make balanced recommendations on findings
  • Track record of complex and creative problem-solving and building new solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder management (at all levels) and attainment of project deliverables at pace
  • Ability to adapt to changing programs and processes

Contract length: 18 months
